We are a Not for Profit Organisation who run training centres and other activities for adults with learning disabilities and other support needs. We believe that all individuals should have equal rights and opportunities and therefore work with our trainees to fulfill their dreams and aspirations by gaining experience in a educational/work environment in order to enhance their quality of life. A chievement C hoice T raining I ndependance V alues E qual opportunities We are an educational & vocational training centre for adults with learning disabilities & support needs. We acknowledge that everyone has the same right to access high quality services. We offer person-centered sessions & various work-based activities including: Woodwork, Jewellery Making, DIY, Arts & Crafts & ICT. We also offer additional activities which typically include: Music Workshops,   Photography,   Leisure & Social Activities,   Health & Wellbeing,  Weaving,   Dance & Musical Theatres,   Holistic Therapies Our dedicated programme co-ordinator designs 6 week programmes in line with our trainee’s requests and goals. Spectrum Active’s Aims: Provide opportunities suited to an individuals needs & skills Overcome barriers, whilst increasing self confidence and self esteem Promote problem solving & choice Provide progression & community partnerships at all levels Supporting Our Students All of our students* are assigned a key worker when they join us. This is to ensure that each student has a special person supporting fulfilment of their goals & aspirations. They will complete a person centred plan and an individual learning plan to make sure that the students are learning what they wish and reaching their full potential. We also have students of the month awards for those students who show particular effort / achievement and healthy eating awards to promote health & wellbeing. *In a recent survey the adults who attend our service voted to be called collectively as students as they are actively learning in our sessions.
